Spartans tangle with Panthers in playoffs on 104.1 WRLU

The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans of the NEC will hit the road to take on the Plymouth Panthers of the East Central Conference Friday night.

The #5 seeded Spartans (4-3, 4-5 overall) are coming off a 34-21 loss to the conference champion Freedom Irish last week.  Plymouth earned the fourth seed and home game by going 5-2 in the conference and 7-2 overall for the year.

Andrew Klass led Luxemburg-Casco in the running game during the regular season with 691 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The Panthers depend on running back Brett Shutter, who rushed for 1104 yards and 20 touchdowns while averaging over seven yards per carry.

L-C Coach Neil Seering says he is excited about the opportunity to coach his team for at least one more week.

The pregame is set for 6:45 p.m. on 104.1 WBDK, and the kick-off is set for 7 p.m. from Plymouth High School.  Paul Schmitt and Eric Fischer will have the play-by-play of the game, which will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network.
