The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team enters the WIAA Tournament with some extra hardware after finishing in second place in its home invite.

 

The Spartans were 3-2 on the day, including: 

 

Pool Play

Beat Preble 25-16, 25-10

Lost to Waukesha West 25-18, 23-25, 13-15

 

Crossover:

Beat Kaukauna 25-15, 25-17

 

Gold Bracket:

Beat Waukesha West 25-23, 25-22

Lost to Kimberly 24-26, 26-24, 12-15

 

The team was led by Alayna Deprez (123 assists and 31 digs), Ella Vander Velden (54 kills, 33 digs, 6 aces), Aubrey Frey (43 kills, 55 digs, and 7 aces), and Campbell Onell- 24 kills and 11 aces.

 

Head coach Jeff Frey called it a great day of competition. "I love the fight and grit we showed today. Can’t wait to get the playoffs started next week."
