The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans volleyball found themselves on top of the North Eastern Conference again on Thursday, shutting out Denmark 3-0 on the road.
The Spartans never allowed the Vikings to threaten in any of their sets, winning the match 25-9, 25-13, 25-10.
The team was led by Alayna Deprez (31 assists, 10 digs, 2 aces), Aubrey Frey (12 kills, 5 digs, and 3 aces), Ella Vander Velden (10 kills, 6 digs, 2 aces), and Rylan Kaminski (14 digs).
While applauding his team's passion and energy, Head coach Jeff Frey did not take the share of the title lightly post-match, complimenting the entire North Eastern Conference. "The NEC has been a really competitive conference this year, with a lot of quality teams at the top," Frey said. "To be able to come out with a share of the conference championship is awesome, and I am really proud of our girls."
