The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans travel to take on the Little Chute Mustangs Friday night in a North Eastern Conference “Battle of the L-Cs.”
The Spartans (4-1, 4-3 overall) are coming off a 47-13 home victory over the Two Rivers Purple Raiders last week and have won three in a row. Little Chute (3-2, 4-3 overall) shut out the Sheboygan Falls Falcons 23-0 on the road and looks to take back the L-C trophy. The Spartans defeated the Mustangs 35-14 in Luxemburg last year.
Running Back Cameron Dorner had a big game for the Spartans last Friday with 155 rushing yards and three touchdowns against Two Rivers.
Little Chute is led by running back Brock Gardner, who has 419 yards on 75 carries and two touchdowns this season. The Mustang defense has been strong all season, allowing only 46 points in five conference games. Luxemburg-Casco Coach Neil Seering says the Spartans must play one of their best games to win.
The pregame is set for 6:45 p.m. on 104.1 WBDK, with kick-off at 7 p.m. Paul Schmitt and Eric Fischer will have the play-by-play of the game, which will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network.
