The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team left the Charger Classic with a 3-3 record and an 11th place finish, but it gave head coach Jeff Frey a good feeling for the rest of the season.

The results were as follows:

Pool Play:

Beat McFarland 25-17, 25-15

Beat Westosha Central 25-23, 27-29, 15-13

Lost to Oconomowoc 20-25, 19-25

Crossover:

Lost to DSHA 19-25, 11-25

Silver Bracket

Beat River Falls 25-22, 23-25, 15-10

Lost to West Bend West 25-12, 13-25, 7-15

Leading the Spartans were Alayna Deprez (149 assists and 59 digs), Aubrey Frey (71 kills and 56 digs), Ella Vander Velden (51 kills and 31 digs), Claire Schleis (26 kills), and Rylan Kaminski (66 digs).

Despite the mixed results, Frey said it was a good weekend for the team. "It's always a great tournament for us to go down and test ourselves against some of the best teams in the state.  We played a lot of good volleyball, learned a lot and grew as a team."
