The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team opened their 2024 campaign in impressive fashion by going 7-0 on the weekend and sweeping Bay Port in the championship to win the Beast of the Northeast Tournament in Appleton.

 

The Spartans dropped just one set across seven matches, and that came in the first one they played against Southwest.

 

Friday Pool Play:

Beat St. Mary Springs 25-9, 25-17

Head coach Jeff Frey said it was a great way to start the season. " I thought we did a lot of really good things over the two days, and our offense was so spread out.  I loved the growth we showed from Day 1 to Day 2," Frey added.

 

Leading the way for the Spartans was Alayna Deprez (151 assists, 44 digs), Aubrey Frey (53 kills, 49 digs), Ella Vander Velden (45 kills, 33 digs, 17 aces), Cami Onell (41 kills, 14 aces), and Ryan Kaminski (71 digs, 11 aces).
