Spartans softball beats wheels off Truckers

The Luxemburg-Casco softball team only needed four innings to settle the result with Clintonville, winning the game 17-0.

The Spartans put up two runs in the first and the second innings, with Grace Kahr's home run being one of the game's big highlights. The team scored eight runs in the third inning and put the game on ice in the fourth frame with another five runs. Nine different Spartans got hits with all of them driving in at least one run. Other than Kahr, Payton Kaminski was the offensive star as she went 4-4 with four singles and three RBI in the win. Josie Dorner registered the Spartans' other extra base with an RBI double in the third inning.

Baylee Wypiszenski and Kate Van Ess split the pitching duties, combining to allow three hits and strike out three across four innings.

The Spartans are back in action on Tuesday with a game against Waupaca at 4:30 p.m.
