The Luxemburg-Casco girls' basketball team took a slim one-point lead into the break and never let go in a 40-30 win over Waupaca on Friday night.

The Spartans outscored the Comets 22-13 in the second half to keep the visitors at bay. A big reason for that was Brianna Bray, who scored 16 of her game-high 22 points after the break. Gabby Wech played a big role in the win as well as she added 12 points.

Rozzie Wehmeyer registered nine points for the Comets in the loss.
