Luxemburg-Casco wrestlers makes its way to Kansas City

After keeping things close to home to start their season, the Luxemburg-Casco wrestling team is going the distance for its next competition this weekend.

 

The Spartans are heading to Kansas City, Missouri, for the KC Stampede Wrestling Tournament on Friday and Saturday.  According to the tournament's website, the KC Stampede Wrestling Tournament continues growing with over 120 teams, including men's and women's divisions in this year's competition. This year’s tournament consists of 60-plus men's teams from 14 states.  The women's teams feature 40-plus teams from over 11 states. The Kansas City Stampede is consistently ranked among the top 10 high school tournaments by various wrestling media. Luxemburg-Casco joins Fennimore as the two Wisconsin schools participating in the tournament. The Spartans are off to a fast start once again, allowing less than 60 points total across its five duals and scoring almost 40 points more at this year's Battle on the Bay Tournament than they did the previous season.

 

The tournament will occur at Bartle Hall, KC Convention Center, Hall E beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday. You will be able to follow along at TrackWrestling.com and FloWresting.com.
