For Luxemburg-Casco's Kyan Lynts and Claire DuChateau, they picked the right time for their fastest time.

Lynts' 16:46 5K time was the first time he broke 17 minutes in his three-year high school career. He improved leaps and bounds during the course of the 2023 campaign as he also broke 18 minutes for the first time in his career this year, doing so twice in the two races leading up to the sectional meet.

DuChateau's freshman year has also seen steady improvement, working her time down from 21:46 in her first race to 19:31 in the 5K distance at the WIAA sectional meet hosted by New London. She broke 21 minutes five times during the regular season before setting her sub-20 personal record last week, including in the three races leading up to the sectional meet.

Lynts will run at 12:35 p.m., while DuChateau will compete at 2:25 p.m.
