Spartans battle Little Chute in playoffs on 96.7 WBDK Friday

The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans will face a conference foe, the Little Chute Mustangs in a WIAA Division 4 Level 1 playoff Friday night.

The #2 seeded Spartans (7-0, 8-1 overall) won the North Eastern Conference championship with a 16-12 win over Wrightstown last week.  The #7 Mustangs (3-4, 5-4 overall) beat Denmark 26-7 to become playoff-eligible.

Luxemburg-Casco won the matchup earlier this year at home with a 35-14 victory to claim the “Battle of the LCs” trophy.

Senior quarterback Max Ronsman leads the Spartans with 974 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns while tossing seven passes for scores.

The pregame is set for 6:45 p.m. on 96.7 WBDK, and the kick-off is set for 7 p.m. from Wrightstown.  Paul Schmitt and Eric Fischer will have the play-by-play of the game, which will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network.

The winner of Friday's game will play the winner of Kiel and Kettle Moraine Lutheran next week in Level 2 playoff action.
