Two of two best teams in the state will take the court in Luxemburg Tuesday night when #4 Luxemburg-Casco hosts #3 Fox Valley Lutheran in NEC action.

The Spartans dropped both of their matches in pool play at the Dasher Invite over the weekend, losing to Chippewa Falls 29-31, 25-14, 13-15, and DSHA 16-25, 10-25. They responded in the bronze bracket, beating Whitefish Bay 25-13, 25-11 and Kettle Moraine Lutheran 25-16, 26-28, 15-11. Leading the way for the Spartans were Alayna Deprez (90 assists, 22 digs), Aubrey Frey (28 kills, 48 digs, 7 aces), Jacinda Bennett (23 kills, 5 blocks), Ella Vander Velden (18 kills), Miranda Schmidt (17 kills), and Payton Kaminski (41 digs, 5 aces).

It's been over a month since the last time the Foxes lost a match, going 15-0 during the stretch. The Foxes beat Clintonville and Freedom last week, winning six of the seven sets played.
