The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team easily toppled the Marinette Marines on the road Thursday night 3-0 (25-9, 25-13, 25-9).

Of their 75 points scored, 10 came via service aces delivered by Payton Kaminski (5), Alayna Deprez (3), and Aubrey Frey (2). Frey (13) and Isabel Baudhuin (10) led the Spartans in the kill department while Deprez (12) and Kaminski (11) showed their defensive prowess with double-digit digs. Deprez added 29 assists.

Head coach Jeff Frey was pleased with team's performance on the road. " I thought we had a balanced attack, our setters moved the ball around well," Frey said post-match.  "I thought we were pretty good on the service line as well tonight."

The team now heads to Wales to play in a tournament hosted by Kettle Moraine and Brookfield Central high schools. Appleton East, Barneveld, Brookfield Central, Cedarburg, Dominican, Eau Claire Memorial High School, Fox Valley Lutheran, Holmen, Homestead, Hortonville, Kettle Moraine, Kewaunee High School, Marshall, Muskego, Neenah, Newman Catholic, Nicolet, Oak Creek, Onalaska, Racine Case, Racine Lutheran, Sturgeon Bay, Sun Prairie West, The Prairie, Wauwatosa East, and Westosha Central are also scheduled to compete when the tournament begins at 4 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.
