The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team takes on a familiar foe on Thursday when they travel to Marinette for an NEC match.

 

In last weekend's Tom Larsen Triton Invite, the Spartans ran the table in pool play, defeating West DePere 2-0, DePere 2-0, and Slinger 2-0. In the semifinals, they topped host Notre Dame 2-1 before losing to NEC foe Xavier 2-0 in the title game. The early season matches have shown the strength of the NEC, which represents the only two blemishes on the Spartans' resume out of 13 matches.

 

The Marines broke their season-opening five-match losing streak with a 2-1 victory over Menominee in the Peshtigo Triangular.

 

Match time is set for 7 p.m.
