The Spartan starting quarterback Max Ronsman had a huge game throwing three touchdowns and rushing for another.

Luxemburg-Casco took the lead in the first quarter on a three-yard run by Chris VanderWielen on the opening drive for the Spartans.

The Spartans would then socre on a three yard run  by Ronsman with 9:39 left in the second quarter to take a 13-0 lead.  Xavier would come back as the Hawks scored on a 5 yard run by running back Evan McCormick to make the score 13-7 after the extra point.

It didn’t take the Spartans long as they went on a 73 yard drive in less than 90 seconds culminated by a 29-yard strike from Ronsman to Brady Massey with 2:24 left in the half.

The Spartans weren’t done yet, as after a three-and-out by the defense, Ronsman hit tight end Trace Schoenebeck on a 26 yard pass with just :11 left before intermission to take a commanding 26-7 lead into halftime.
