Luxemburg-Casco High School

Luxemburg-Casco kicks off football scrimmage season

Practices have been going on for days, but Thursday will hit a little harder for those waiting for the high school football to begin.

The area's seven football teams will dedicate at least one day to scrimmages over the next two weeks in anticipation of the upcoming regular season. That begins on Thursday with Luxemburg-Casco scrimmaging against Pulaski and Kaukauna at 5 p.m. in Kaukauna. The area's other 11-player teams will do their work on Friday with Southern Door welcoming Kohler at a to-be-determined time, Sturgeon Bay traveling to Wautoma going around the horn with Wausau East, Sparta, Wautoma, Adams-Friendship, and Auburndale at 11 a.m., and Kewaunee visiting Wrightstown to scrimmage the host school, New London, and Oconto Falls at 4 p.m.

Since the eight-player season starts one week later, Sevastopol, Gibraltar, and Algoma will scrimmage against each other next week.
