The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans girls soccer team will look to shake off their loss to Seymour on Tuesday by traveling to Freedom to take on their NEC foe on Thursday. 

The Spartans had not recorded a loss in three matches entering the matchup with Seymour, but fell by a score of 2-0. Luxemburg-Casco lost their lone match with Freedom last year, falling by a score of 3-0. L-C will want that to change going into their lone matchup of 2023, which will drastically impact the NEC standings. 

Freedom is 3-2-1 so far this season, and recently took down local opponent Sevastopol/Gibraltar by way of a 3-0 score. The Irish had three different girls score against Sevastopol/Gibraltar, as Abby Bradael, Abby Drontle and Claire Murphy were the respective scorers. Freedom is 1-1-1 in NEC play, compared to the 1-0-0 for the Spartans. 

The match is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
