After multiple non-conference matches, the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans girls soccer team will finally get into NEC play with a match against Clintonville on Thursday.
A 1-2 record is the record the Spartans enter conference play with after a 2-0 shutout victory over Manitowoc Lincoln on Tuesday. After a 7-11 overall record last season and a sixth place finish in the North Eastern Conference at 3-5, the Spartans will look to improve on the past season and make a run into the postseason. That conference record begins on Thursday against Clintonville.
The Truckers of Clintonville did not pick up a win in the 2022 season, going 0-17 in total. The team scored 3 goals during the season, with one goal apiece in losses against New London, Berlin, and Freedom. Clintonville’s lone game this season was a 9-0 defeat to Shawano on Tuesday night.
The match in Clintonville is set for 4:30 p.m.
