After the Spartans took game one, Luxemburg-Casco and the Freedom Irish are set to play the second game of their season series on Thursday afternoon.
In Tuesday night's game, it was a pitcher's duel between the Irish from Freedom and the Spartans. Ryan Routhieaux got the nod on the hill to face last year's 1st team all-conference pitcher of the year, Carter Krewaldt. The Spartans would score runs late in the game against Freedom to lead them to a 2-1 win over the Irish.
The two teams split the season series last year in blowout fashion both times as Luxemburg-Casco once again took the opening game winning 10-3, but Freedom came around to even the series with a 12-2 win. The Irish will look to make that split happen once again this season with the game Thursday night.
First pitch from VFW Park in Freedom is slated for 4:30 p.m.
