Luxemburg-Casco defeated Clintonville 11-1 in five innings to improve to 2-0.

 

The Spartans jumped out to an early lead scoring 9 runs in the first off of 5 walks, a double by Rylan Kaminski and singles by Maggie Hanmann, Anna Vandermause, Gracie Kahr and Kylie Hanson.

 

LC maintained a 9-0 lead until the fourth inning when the Truckers scored their lone run as Kelsey Maus singled, Brookelyn Hopp moved her to second on a sacrifice bunt and then Natalie Sunita doubled to center.  In the fifth inning the Spartan scored their final two runs as Payton Kaminski drove a triple to the left-center gap then scored on a passed ball.  Kylie Hanson and Josie Dorner reached on walks and Erin Cherovsky's RBI single scored Hanson to end the game.

 

Savannah Jandrain and Kate VanEss shared time on the mound, with Kate VanEss picking up the win.
