In the second night of a back to back, the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans softball team will welcome in the Clintonville Truckers for NEC play. 

Luxemburg-Casco opened their season against the other LC, Little Chute on Monday afternoon. Last season the Spartans were 22-5 overall and made a trip to sectional semifinals, ultimately falling to NEC opponent Freedom 10-1. Freedom would then go on to win the state championship over Jefferson 5-4. The roster for the Spartans included seven seniors, so a new look L-C team will be on the field this season looking to have that same success as last year's team. 

Clintonville has gotten three total games in this season, with their record standing at 2-1 overall. With wins over Goodman/Pembine and Lakeland, the Truckers have gotten off to a fast start entering NEC play. The Spartans took down Clintonville in their only matchup last season 3-0, with Clintonville ending their season overall at 9-14.
