Two teams that had strong showings last season will face off in the season opener as Luxemburg Casco will take on the Kewaunee Storm. 

The Spartans finished their season 13-13 with a loss to West De Pere ending their season in the second round of WIAA postseason. Luxemburg Casco was led by multiple seniors last season, as Peyton Mrotek and Evan Dahlke were both seniors and the Spartans leading scorers. There will have to be multiple underclassmen for the Spartans to step up and lead the team. Luxemburg-Casco was able to defeat this same Kewaunee Storm team last season by a score of 81-72. The Spartans will look to repeat that success. 

Kewaunee was a talented team as well last season, as they shared the title for the Packerland conference with Peshtigo with a conference record of 13-3. The Storm made their way all the way to the Sectional Semifinal matchup against eventual Sectional Champion Brillion. The Storm would lose that matchup 75-50, but ended their successful season with one of the deepest runs in the area.
