The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans will travel to Waupaca to take on the Comets in a non-conference football game Friday night in the season opener.
The Spartans are coming off an impressive 11-1 campaign last year that saw them win the North Eastern Conference going undefeated. Making it to Level 3 in Division 2 playoffs, Luxemburg-Casco defeated Waupaca in Level 2 play 49-7 at home.
Versatile Junior Max Ronsman will take over for Owen Deprez, who graduated, at quarterback and will have weapons like returning senior, Ryan Routhieaux, who led the Spartans in receptions last season.
The pregame is set for 6:45 pm on 104.1 WRLU and kickoff at 7 pm from Waupaca High School. Paul Schmitt and Tim Kowols will have the play-by-play of the game that will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network.
