The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team kept Little Chute in check in its WIAA opener with a 3-0 win.

 

The Spartans did not allow the Mustangs to break 20 points in any set, outscoring them 25-18, 25-14, 25-16. 

 

Leading the Spartans include Emma Johnson (33 assists, 6 digs), Grace Holschuh (14 kills, 9 digs), Autumn Flynn (9 kills, 4 blocks), Kylie Hanson (8 kills), and Brooke Vande Hei (12 digs).

 

"It was good to get the playoffs started tonight, we did a good job of spreading the ball around to our hitters.  Anna has done a nice job at Little Chute, happy to get a win and be playing for a Regional Championship on Saturday," said head coach Jeff Frey after the match.

 

The Spartans will now face Seymour, which beat Green Bay Notre Dame in five sets on Thursday. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at Luxemburg-Casco.
