Cancer and the Clintonville Truckers did not stand a chance against Luxemburg-Casco as they cruised to a 3-0 victory in NEC volleyball action Thursday.
The Spartans dominated from start to finish, taking the sets by scores of 25-9, 25-11, 25-15. The team improved to a perfect 4-0 in NEC volleyball play while also raising thousands for Raising Hope, a non-profit that provides assistance for cancer patients.
Leading the way for the Spartans were Emma Johnson (34 assists), Autumn Flynn (13 kills and 4 aces), Campbell Onell (11 Kills), and Brooke Vande Hei (16 digs).
"I really like the energy and focus our girls played with tonight. It was Pink Out Night, what a great atmosphere and unbelievable support tonight. It’s amazing to see our community rally and support such an amazing cause. It was a great night!!," said Jeff Frey after the team's 22nd win of the season.
