While it is all business between the start and finish lines, there are plenty of smiles on the Luxemburg-Casco cross country team.
It is easy to smile with the success they have had so far this year with both the boys and girls' squad bringing home plaques for finishing in the top 3 in addition to individual accolades. It is also easy to smile when you are seeing personal records fall on a consistent basis up and down your roster. The cross country teams also know how to have fun by going on team outings to the beach, campgrounds, and most recently to Hillside Apples in Casco. Head cross country Katie Waege says having fun is an important aspect to bring out during the course of the long season.
The Spartans will tackle a challenging course on Thursday when they join the likes of Sevastopol, Plymouth, and Chilton at the Valders Invitational. The first race begins at 3 p.m. You can listen to the rest of our interview with Waege on the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans Central podcast feed.
