Luxemburg-Casco had their lead stolen from them in the second half by Marinette in their 5-3 loss on Tuesday. The Spartans had a 3-2 lead on the road at the halfway point but Marinette grabbed three goals in the opening seven minutes of the second half, to make the score 5-3, and the goals would stall from there.
Marinette opened the scoring at the 4’ mark and the Spartans netted the next two goals at the 12’ and 35’ marks to make the score 2-1. Scoring the first two Spartans’ goals were Rigoberto Caseres with a Daniel Rosales assist and Hayden Koss got a goal on a free-kick. Marinette’ scored just four minutes later but Caseres got his second goal of the game just three minutes before the half. Luxemburg-Casco’s next game will be at home against Denmark on Tuesday.
