Spartans dominate Tiger Invite

The Luxemburg-Casco varsity cross-country team swept the competition in Chilton on Friday, garnering first place in the varsity boys and girls divisions. In the boys division, five Spartans cracked the top ten. Gabe Havel got second place and Spencer Thiry got third. Lance Cherovsky took sixth and Hudson Thiry finished in seventh. Rounding out the top ten was Michael Otradovec. Also getting into the top twenty are Weiss Waege and Kyan Lynts. 

 

In the girls division, the Spartans also had five runners make it into the top ten. In order, places two through four went to Megan Vandermause, Madilyn Bevins, and Sophie Mleziva. Lydia Morozov placed sixth and Ella Wessel finished in eighth place. Alyssa Delebreau placed just outside of the top ten, getting eleventh. Micaela Boucher got thirteenth. 

 

Placing second and third behind the Spartans boys team was Chilton and Wrightstown. In the girls division, the Spartans led Elhart Lake-Glenbeulah and Chilton. The Spartans also won both divisions in junior varsity, the middle school boys team won and the girls middle school team got second place.
