Spartans boys soccer unable to hang on to early lead

On Tuesday, Luxemburg-Casco got out in front early over Clintonville but that was the last time they’d be ahead all night in their 6-3 loss. After John Amador scored the opening goal with an assist from Rigobert Caseres, Clintonville went on a three-goal run, scoring all three in a nine-minute span. The goals were scored at the 26’, 33’, and 35’ marks. Luxemburg-Casco tightened the score with a Griffin Saldana score on a Reese Barbiaux assist.

Clintonville went back up 4-2 at the 40’ point before Griffin Saldana made it 4-3 with his second goal of the day at 59’. At the 62’ and 78’ points, Clintonville scored goals which were the last ones scored. For the Spartans, Matthew Ledvina had six saves.

The Spartans are still looking for their first win of the year and next on their schedule is Algoma. Luxemburg-Casco will be the host of the game, which will start at 6:30 PM on Friday.
