The Luxemburg-Casco Fishing Team will send two teams to LaCrosse next month when the Mississippi River becomes the site for the bass fishing state championships. 

 

Charlie Simonar and Ethan Jerabek will team up on one squad while the other will be anchored by 
Nathan Naze and TJ Weinfurter. The state championships take place June 12th and 13th. 

 

The team competed in its first tournament of the season this past weekend in Oshkosh. Results will be posted at a later time.

 

 

Preparing for their first tournament of the year did not mean the team did not take a chance to give back to their fellow students. Members of the Luxemburg-Casco Fishing Team took time out of their day on May 11th to take Best Buddies participants out to the pond for a day of fishing.

 

The team is in its second season despite last year taking a little bit of a hit due to COVID-19.
