The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans softball team wasn’t able to remain undefeated on Thursday after a loss at home against Freedom, 8-4. With the loss, Luxemburg-Casco is now 1-1. Their next game is Friday at home against Wrightstown. The First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 PM.

Freedom scored 3 in the first inning to go up early. Naleyah Bork's RBI single scored Rylie Murphy and a 2 RBI double by Taylor Theobald scored Kierstin Kriewaldt and Rachel Koss to give Freedom a lead they never gave up.
Naleyah Bork led Freedom as both the winning pitcher and leading batter. Bork threw a complete game victory, striking out 12 and walking only 1. She also had 3 hits, including a home run, and 3 RBI. Other leading hitters for the Irish were Taylor Theobald, 2/3, 2 doubles and 2 RBI and Rachel Koss, 2/2, double, 2 runs scored.
Lauren Adams was Luxemburg-Casco's leading hitter going 3/4 with 2 RBI.
Both teams are 1-1 in the North Eastern Conference and overall.
