The Luxemburg-Casco had ten players get in the scoring column as the Spartans cruised to an easy 74-39 victory over the Marinette Marines in Luxemburg on Tuesday night. The Spartans held the Marines scoreless in the first five minutes and took an early 8-0 lead on the way to their eighth win in the North Eastern Conference.
Ryan Robillard and Logan Doell scored ten of their game-high 15 points, respectively in the first half as the Spartans took a commanding 40-20 into halftime.
Coming out of halftime, Coach Tyler Thrune substituted freely as the Spartans ended up with four players scoring in double figures. Jonas Otradovec added 12 points and Blake Yadodinski chipping in ten more along with numerous rebounds. Peyton Mrotek scored eight points while holding Marine’s leading scorer Aisaia Polazzo to just five points.
Luxemburg-Casco (8-6, 8-7 overall) will now travel to Two Rivers for a non-conference game on Thursday night before returning to NEC action on Friday.
the next broadcast on New Radio Sports Network and WBDK 96.7 FM wll be next Tuesday as the Spartans travel to Southern Door to take on the Eagles in a non-conference game. Matt Piesler and Paul Schmitt will have the call with the pregame show starting at 7 pm and game time scheduled for 7:30 pm.
