The Luxemburg-Casco girls' basketball team hopes to forget its matchup less than a week ago when they travel to Freedom to take on the Irish on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, Taylor Thiry was the only Spartans player to reach double figures and the defense gave up over 40 points in the second half as the Irish won handily 74-29. The Spartans beat Marinette 53-40 on Friday night to build some positive momentum while the Irish have been idle ever since. Both the Spartans and the Irish are in the top three in the Northeastern Conference in terms of record, but it is the Irish that sits on top of the leaderboard with a perfect 9-0 NEC record.
