Two of the NEC's top teams in recent memory will square off on the mat Thursday night when Luxemburg-Casco hosts Freedom.

 

A combined 15 ranked wrestlers will battle it out as the Spartans are ranked third as a team behind fellow NEC rival Wrightstown and the Irish are an honorable mention.

 

The Spartans are coming off a 40-30 loss to Bay Port over the holiday break. Issac Jerabek (106 lbs) and Easton Worachek (113 lbs) earned pins in the loss.

 

The Irish finished off 2020 with a conference win over Marinette 63-15. Carsten McHugh, Ben Bredael, Reece Manteuffel, Troy Nabbefeld, and Hayden VanCamp got pins in the win.

 

JV matches are set to start at 6 p.m. with the varsity wrestlers beginning at 6:30 p.m.
