The Luxemburg-Casco girls' basketball team hopes to start a new winning streak Friday night when they host Fox Valley Lutheran.

The Spartans saw their two-game streak grind to a halt earlier this week when they lost a close matchup to Waupaca 51-49. The team had rattled off a pair of blowout victories against Marinette and Denmark last week. Taylor Thiry is averaging a double-double for the Spartans, scoring 20.5 points per game and grabbing 14.5 rebounds.

The Foxes are 3-1 on the season, winning their last time out 58-42 against Oconto Falls. The team has balanced scoring at the top with Emily Jaenke (15.2 ppg), Alayna Feidt (12.8 ppg) and Lydia Feidt (9.8 ppg) averaging above or very near 10 points per game.
