Three big meets in just over a week is not phasing the Luxemburg-Casco cross country team.

 

Both the boys and the girls teams advanced to Friday's sectional meet at Kettle Moraine Lutheran by taking second place. Spencer Thiry (17:20) and Sophia Mliezva (21:13) paced the Spartans to clinch the spots, but cross country coach Katie Waege credits the runners for doing that extra something little to push them over the edge. 

 

The teams have not raced at Kettle Moraine Lutheran before, but even with some sneaky elevation changes Waege is not worried.

 

The girls will toe the line at 4:15 p.m. Friday afternoon while the boys will tackle the course at 5 p.m. If any of the runners qualify, they will learn next where their next race will be.
