DKHS.com's Champion of Champions Series: 1990s Luxemburg-Casco Wrestling

The Chicago Bulls, Dallas Cowboys and the Luxemburg-Casco wrestling team can all say their dynasties started in the 1990s, though it is the third one that has been able to sustain it.

From 1992 to 1999, the Spartans won four state titles to put the program on the map. When Emil Kuhn's 1992 squad defeated Lancaster 40-20 for the Division 2 title, it was the first time a team state champion was determined in the dual meet format. Kuhn would lead three more teams to titles to close out the decade with the Spartans beating Nekoosa in 1994 31-18, Baldwin-Woodville 30-23 in 1996, and in 1999 beating Ellsworth 26-24.

Those teams had wrestlers that were also able to claim gold medals in the individual tournament and are listed below:

1999- Nick Pell, Luxemburg-Casco (41-2)
1992- Mike Selner, Luxemburg-Casco (25-7-1)
