The Luxemburg-Casco Spartan boys crushed the Marinette Marines 84-51 in WIAA Division II Regional quarterfinal basketball at Luxemburg Tuesday night.  The #5 seeded Spartans jumped out to a 14-4 lead in the first few minutes and never looked back.  After building a 20 point lead in the first half the Spartans went into halftime holding a comfortable 39-23 lead.  Junior Jonas Otradovec led a spirited second-half blitz that saw L-C burn the # 12 Marines in transition scoring easy layups.  Otradovec scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half and the Spartans cruised to the easy first-round victory.  Logan Doell led Luxemburg-Casco (15-8) with 23 points while Peyton Mrotek added 12 and Carter Sewell chipped in 10 more.  Marinette (0-23) was led by Matthew Maye with 17.  The Spartans will now travel to Ashwaubenon Friday night to take on the #4 seeded Jaguars from the Fox Valley Association conference.  Pregame on WBDK 96.7 FM is set for 6:30 pm and tip-off at 7 pm from Ashwaubenon High School.  The game will also be streamed on DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com.
