The 2026-2027 bowling season got off to a strong start on Thursday as six area teams traveled to Sturgeon Bay for a meet hosted at Apple Valley Lanes.

All three matches were lopsided, with Luxemburg Casco defeating Algoma 9-0, Kewaunee beating Sturgeon Bay 8-1, and Southern Door topping Sevastopol 7-2.

The top three boys bowlers included Kewaunee's Jaxon Slack (11 strikes/7 spares/ 0 opens), Sevastopol's Braiden Goldman (10 strikes/6 spares/2 open), and Luxemburg-Casco's Landon Kaye (7 strikes/7 spares/4 opens). 

The top three girls bowlers included Southern Door's Elizabeth Shepit (6 strikes/8 spares/4 opens), Kewaunee's Trinity Rosinsky (5 strikes/8 spares/5 opens), and Luxemburg-Casco's Elizabeth DePas (6 strikes/6 spares/6 opens).
