Kewaunee Cross Country's Miller ready for postseason push

For a fifth consecutive season, it will be a Miller leading the way for the Kewaunee cross country team when they run Saturday at the WIAA Sectional Meet hosted by Sheboygan Lutheran.

The Storm are a year removed from when they qualified for the state meet, with Hannah Miller leading the charge with a third-place finish. It was the only time last season that Hannah did not win. Chasing her in those meets was her sister Natalie Miller, who has taken over that lead runner role during her junior season. She has broken 22 minutes in each of her last four races, including a season-best 21:00 at the Russ Fameree Invitational in Luxemburg. While it took some adjusting to not having Hannah on the line with them, Natalie believes her team is hitting its stride at the right time.

Miller and the Storm cross country team will race at Sheboygan Lutheran along with fellow Packerland Conference rivals Southern Door, Gibraltar, and Algoma. The girls race will take place at 11 a.m. followed by the boys at 11:45 p.m.
