Kewaunee came out strong in its WIAA girls volleyball regional opener Tuesday night, but Peshtigo answered with three consecutive set victories to defeat the Storm 3-1 and bring their season to an end.
The Storm opened the match with a convincing 25-15 victory, putting the Bulldogs on their heels early. However, Peshtigo responded with a 25-13 win in the second set to even the match before edging Kewaunee 25-22 in the third.
With their season on the line, the Storm continued to battle in the fourth set, fighting back to tie the score at 18 apiece. But Kewaunee couldn't find an answer for the Bulldogs' late surge, as Peshtigo pulled away for another 25-22 victory to complete the comeback.
The loss ends Kewaunee's 2026 season in the opening round of regional play, while Peshtigo advances in the WIAA tournament.
