Kewaunee's softball team had a tough one Tuesday, falling to Crivitz 6-5 on a walk-off single in the eighth inning.
The Storm tied it up twice, most recently in the seventh when Breanna Riha grounded out to score the tying run, but Crivitz answered in the eighth with Taryn Tracy's walk-off single to end it. Riha and Kambriea Last were the offensive engines for Kewaunee, each driving in two runs. Last and London Karnopp each collected two hits on the day.
Ali Repitz went seven and two-thirds innings in the circle and kept Kewaunee in it, but Crivitz's 15-hit attack was too much to overcome. Brecken Ott, Marli Meyers, and Hailey D each had three hits for the Wolverines, and Kirsten Pusick's two-run homer in the fourth got them going.
They finish the regular season 16-10 and await the seeding for the start of the WIAA State Softball Tournament.
