Kewaunee softball drops road game to Bonduel

Kewaunee's softball team fell to Bonduel 7-3 on Tuesday, unable to overcome an early deficit on the road.

The Storm got on the board first in the top of the first on an error, but Bonduel answered right back with three runs in the bottom half. Marlie Hartmann and Juliana Jacobs each singled and Mary Margdofsky grounded out to make it 3-1. The Bears kept rolling in the second, adding four more on hits from Haley Conradt, Hartmann, and Jacobs to put it out of reach.

Ali Repitz took the loss in the circle, going four innings and allowing seven runs, six earned, on eight hits. Conradt went 3-for-4 out of the leadoff spot to pace Bonduel, while Jacobs and Hartmann each drove in two. Kallie Wilcox earned the win, tossing three innings and allowing three runs, just one earned.

Kewaunee finished with seven hits spread across the lineup, with Vivian Bootz and London Karnopp each driving in a run.

The Storm are back at it Thursday at Sevastopol.
