Storm softball sail down to Two Rivers

The Kewaunee Storm softball team kicks off the week with a non-conference down the highway at Two Rivers Monday afternoon.

 

The Storm swept their weekend of action, beating Cumberland 15-1 on Friday before beating Prairie du Chien 14-4 and Brillion 7-3 on Saturday. The Storm had their first game won in the first inning as they put up a dozen runs after being put in an early 1-0 hole. They took advantage of five Cumberland errors, but 16 hits provided enough firepower of its own. Kambreia Last went 4-4 with three RBI while Summer Walechka (3) Braelyn Chevalier (2), and Cora Schleis also had multi-RBI games. Six different Storm players had two hits or more in their win over Prarie du Chein, outhitting them 17-6. Breanna Riha posted four RBI while three others had at least two RBI. Last came up big in the Storm's final matchup of the weekend, going 3-5  with two RBI while Chevalier drove in another two runs. Repitz posted wins from the circle in all three matchups.
