Kewaunee All-Conference Selections

The Packerland conference has revealed its all-conference teams for basketball and wrestling. The Storm had many selections for both sports. 

 

Sam Kraynik (106 lbs) finished with a 20-11 record, recording 13 pins. Anakin Reimer (144 lbs) finished with a 15-19 record, marking 8 pins. Mason VanGoethem (150 lbs) had an 18-11 record, recording 7 pins and 2 tech falls. Trevor Gauthier (157 lbs) ended the season with a 35-17 record, marking 11 pins and 5 tech falls. Mitchell Boeder (285 lbs) had a 38-8 record, with 26 pins. For the girls, Aubrey Ducat (120 lbs) had a 23-6 record, pinning 11 of her opponents.

 

For the girls, three Storm players were named to the 1st team: Senior Braelyn Chevalier, Senior Jade Kroll (Unanimous), and Senior Gabby Stangel (11.4 ppg, 2.7 rpg). Senior Summer Walechka (9.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg) was named to the 2nd team. Kroll was named the Player of the Year, averaging 22.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.7 steals per game. Kewaunee also had the Defensive Player of the Year in Chevalier. She averaged 8.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.6 steals a game.

 

For the boys, Sophomore Diesel Bosdeck and Senior Connor Kilgore were named to the 1st team. Sophomore Dane Harrell (11.4 ppg, 9.2 rpg) and Senior Avery Jerabek (12.7 ppg, 4.0 rpg) were named to the 2nd team. Bosdeck earned the honors of being named the Defensive Player of the Year. Beyond defense, Bosdeck was a lethal shooter for the Storm, putting up 14.5 points per game on 47.4% shooting from the field and 42% beyond the arc. Kilgore has been averaging 14.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 3.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks a game.
