Gibraltar overpowered by Kewaunee girls at home
After defeating an undefeated Packerland conference opponent Friday night in Algoma, Kewaunee stayed aggressive and came out firing Saturday.
They are led strongly by 2x Packerland Conference Player of the Year Jade Kroll, a senior for the Storm, who is the facilitator of the Storm's offense. Even when she isn't the one putting the ball through the hoop she is actively involved in the offense.
Yet it's not just Kroll, she has a strong supporting cast and it was too much for Gibraltar to handle as they fell 86-17. It was Kewaunee's highest scoring output on the season, which hadn't eclipsed 75 previously.
Gibraltar will face N.E.W. Lutheran next Thursday at 7 p.m. with an opportunity to get back to the performance they had against Stockbridge two games ago. Meanwhile, Kewaunee has their third game in 5 days, facing Valders at home Tuesday with a 7 p.m. start.
