The Kewaunee volleyball team is playing at home for its WIAA Regional playoff game this Thursday against Manitowoc Lutheran.
A strong four-set battle went to the Kewaunee Storm in the WIAA Regional Quarterfinals on Tuesday. It saw two sets go beyond the 25-point mark proving that both teams battled throughout the night, but Kewaunee came out victorious in both which was enough to secure the 3-1 win.
The matches' opening set was won by the Storm 31-29, but Sturgeon Bay responded with a convincing 25-18 second set. Kewaunee did them one better, taking the third set by the same score and forcing Sturgeon Bay into a must-win fourth set.
The teams battled once again in the fourth before Kewaunee secured the two-point advantage necessary for the win at 26-24.
The Lancers’ last outing saw them go 4-1 in a tournament.
