The Kewaunee volleyball team is gearing up to play Sevastopol this Thursday at home.
The Pioneers are coming off a 3-0 loss to Peshtigo.
The Hortonville Polar Bears defeated the Kewaunee Storm 3-0 Tuesday in a non-conference matchup, with a close second set proving to be the difference in the sweep. Hortonville took the first set 25-18, highlighted by a kill from Cami Head. The second set was a nail-biter, tied 24-24 after a Kewaunee kill from Charolette Klukas. Hortonville closed it out 26-24 on a block by Becca Krause to take a 2-0 lead. The Polar Bears dominated the final set 25-12, capped off by a kill from Anne Gagnow to complete the sweep. Hortonville’s roster is upperclassmen-heavy, featuring five seniors and the lone sophomore, Cami Head, who made a big impact.
The first serve is at 7:00 pm.
