Errors doom Storm in Manitowoc

Five errors made it hard for the Kewaunee baseball to climb back into a 5-1 loss at Manitowoc on Thursday.

It was 1-0 Ships in the third inning when the Storm committed three errors, lead to three more runs for the home team. The Storm finally scratched across a run in the fifth inning when they registered their one and only hit of the game off the bat of Waylon Delain. He was able to score on a sacrifice fly by Ethan Paplham. The Ships would get that run back in the bottom of the fifth inning on a run-scoring double by Benson Dickrell.

Jackson Walecka took the loss on the mound, allowing five runs (1 ER) on five hits while striking out three. Gabe Eichmann registered the win for the Ships, allowing one run (0 ER) on one hit while sitting down seven Storm batters.
