The Kewaunee Storm baseball team scored three runs in the first inning and let Brett Paulsen do the rest in a 4-0 win over Algoma on Friday.
Brady Pribek opened the scoring with a two-run double and came around to score a couple of batters later to make it 3-0. Paulsen dealt from there, going 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball, allowing four hits while striking out 14. Braden Leist, Charlie Prokash, Jordan Fenendael, and Carson Leist were the only Wolves players to solve Paulsen's riddles for a hit. Meanwhile, Pribek led the Storm with two hits and three RBI while Diesel Bosdeck and Micah Vanness also posted a pair of hits in the Storm victory.
Highlighting Saturday's action is Kewaunee's non-conference game against Two Rivers at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. The game will take place following the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers' game against the West Michigan Whitecaps, which play at 1:05 p.m. on Saturday.
